Introduction to Monetization

Table of Contents

This section explains how creator earnings work, how to view them in the dashboard, and how payouts are distributed. By following these guidelines, you’ll understand all the monetization dynamics of the platform.

Revenue Types

Currently, creators can earn from:

  • User Donations – 80% goes to the creator, 20% to the platform
  • PPV (Premium Content) – 80% to the creator, 20% to the platform
  • Platform Revenues (Ads revenues+Subscriptions) – 70% to the creators based on their watchtime, 30% to the platform
  • Merchandising – 90% goes to the creator, 10% to the platform

Note: Monthly automatic payouts apply only to subscription and advertising revenue. All other revenue types (e.g. donations, PPV) are tracked in the dashboard but are paid directly to the creator and do not follow the automatic payout system.

Revenue Dashboard

In the creator dashboard, you can view:

  • All Time: total revenue since account creation
  • Today: revenue generated today
  • Last 7 Days: revenue from the past 7 days
  • Last 30 Days: revenue from the past 30 days
  • Custom: select a custom time period

The platform ensures accurate calculations for each selected period.

Payouts

  • Automatic payouts are processed monthly for revenue generated from Reframes subscriptions and advertising
  • All payouts follow the predefined revenue share percentages

Payment Integration

Revenue from Reframes, PPV, donations, and merch is handled through Stripe, Payoneer, or Mangopay, ensuring secure and encrypted transactions.

Each revenue entry in the dashboard shows:

This helps creators track their earnings in real time.

Quick FAQ

Q: Can I see revenue per individual video or episode?

A: Yes, in the Content Details section you can view revenue generated by each content.

Q: Do AdSense revenues disappear if a user is subscribed?

A: Yes, subscribed users do not see ads, so they don’t generate AdSense revenue. Instead, they pay a monthly Reframes subscription, and 70% of total subscription and ad revenue is distributed among all creators based on watch time.
